Rees Jones is a master of golf course design. Throughout his life, he has crafted over 225 golf courses, adding his own unique touch and Rees Jones design to each. His unique skill and obvious talents have earned him recognition as “The Open Doctor” for his work on courses on which major championship are played, and a variety of accolades, including induction into both the New Jersey Sports Writers Association Hall of Fame and the Northern California Golf Association Hall of Fame. Other awards include the Golf Course Builders’ Association of America’s Don A. Rossi Award, a title only held by six others in the world, and the John Reid Lifetime Achievement Award, which recognizes individuals who have shown exemplary support of the game. His knowledge and expertise has shown through once again in his work on TPC Danzante Bay, a Rees Jones golf course that exemplifies his love for the sport and passion for eco-friendly greens.
